makeup.
I started getting into makeup in my freshman year after watching many tutorials on YouTube. I would spend hours practicing in my room, and I remember locking the room because I didn't want my parents to know. My makeup addiction peaked in high school when I found myself buying makeup almost every week. In my junior and senior year, the motivation to get up every morning was that I could do my makeup. I eventually started doing makeup for peers and for my friends for special events, such as prom and senior portraits. Makeup has always been another creative outlet for me as it allowed me to challenge myself and play with colors and different techniques. I loved the reactions after I would do someone's makeup and the confidence it gave someone.

cooking.
In my sophomore year when I decided to start eating healthier, I was introduced to cooking. I took my first cooking class in 7th grade and only remembered almost failing in it. I once put 1 tablespoon in a dish that called for 1 teaspoon and our whole table had to eat overly salty mushrooms. However, in my senior year, I started making my own breakfasts and lunch, since I would end school before lunch. Cooking has allowed me to experiment with many types of food, eat healthier, and save money. I'm always anticipating for the first bite and I've learned to appreciate food more than before.

boba.
My mom introduced me to boba in my freshman year. Apparently, she even told us about it in middle school and offered us some, but we never wanted it back then. Now, I always usually get boba if I have the chance. In a way, boba serves as a social way to get connected with people as it is a common beverage and hangout topic. As shown from the pictures, my favorite place is Boba Guys, and I usually get the strawberry matcha latte with oatmilk and boba. I also recently discovered I was lactose intolerant, so I started ordering more fruit teas. I know especially in the Bay Area, boba is increasingly becoming popular. In a mall close to me, there are at least 5 boba shops in the mall.

chapman upb.
I joined UPB in the first semester of my freshman year. I was apart of the marketing committee. For this spring semester, I am apart of SET, which is also known as Special Events and Traditions.
When I was part of the marketing committee, we concentrated on creating promotional things for each event. Our main way of promoting would be through posters and tabling.
Now, as apart of the SET committee, we are focused on creating the bigger events, such as midnight breakfast, Spring Sizzle, and spring speaker/concert. It was rewarding to see everything slowly come together and see how everything is done behind the scenes. Our director is able to manage the budget and keep in contact with important people and places in order to ensure that these events happen.
